John Tyler was not the fastest in our District Sir... I will give them third behind Us (Longview and Lufkin) Thank you so kindly...

NO Sir! I will give you Longview and JT. But we were running by Lufkin

Pharaoh this is what we heard. Coffey played on the 96 North Mesquite team that was ranked number 1 in the state and DFW area all year. Had he stayed healthy that team would have waltzed to the 96 D2 title. He was as tough as they came when he came to running the football. The guy was a specimen. there were several rumors about the North Mesquite 95 & 96 team...and possible sterroid use from several of their players. i believe a few coaches were even fired over the situation! north mesquite wasn't big and athletic...just powerful, intelligent and durable!

honestly, i was told it was pretty well known - throughout the mesquite/garland community - that those guys were juicing! though many believed (and knew) the reason coffey suffered internal bleeding/ripped organs, at the end of senior year in 96, was due to sterroid use!

coffey was still a great back, though!

Carter has always been a team of superb athletes but if it was in football a team sport they never really lived up to the hype they were giving, again full of athletes but when it comes to team ball the suburban school teams played fundamental ball and excel in the playoffs for the most part and play pretty tough in district teams while Carter plays DISD schools like Sunset and North Dallas High, just stating facts. I got love for Carter but lets be serious.

I hear you T. Bishop but what if you combined all the suburban schools and east texas schools together that already win state titles solo. Look at it if you combine all Mesquite talent alone, how about longview, john tyler and lufkin together or better yet duncanville, desoto and cedar hill. One last area is colleyville, soutlake carroll and grapevine, come on T. Bishop if if was a 5th we would all be drunk and all the suburban schools would still wreck in football and tennis and golf, I like country clubs not VFw's and whole in the walls lol! lol! lol! lol! ....
